FAQ's
How many RTT sessions will I need?
Many people see meaningful change in just one to three sessions. RTT is built for speed, working at the subconscious level rather than keeping you in therapy for years. Your exact number depends on the issue and the goals you bring.
Are the results of RTT permanent?
For most people, yes. RTT aims for lasting change by addressing root causes, not only symptoms. Listening to your personalized recording daily for around twenty-one days helps reinforce the new beliefs so they hold over time.
How long does a hypnotherapy session last?
An RTT session usually runs ninety to one hundred twenty minutes, longer than a standard therapy hour. That extra time lets us reach the subconscious, work through what surfaces, and set up new patterns before the session ends.
Will I lose control or fall asleep during hypnosis?
No. You stay aware and in control the entire time. Hypnosis is a relaxed, focused state, not sleep or a trance you cannot leave. You could stand up and end it whenever you wanted to.
Can hypnotherapy help with anxiety and depression?
Yes. Research shows hypnotherapy can ease symptoms of both, especially alongside other support. By calming the nervous system and reframing the beliefs underneath, it helps many people feel steadier and more hopeful in everyday life.
How does hypnotherapy help with weight loss?
It works on the emotional patterns behind eating rather than only the food itself. We help your subconscious build a healthier relationship with food, so better choices start to feel natural instead of forced or joyless.
How many sessions does it take to quit smoking?
Often just one to three. Smoking is a subconscious habit, and hypnotherapy targets the triggers keeping you hooked. Many people walk away free of cigarettes after a single session, though some choose a second visit to reinforce it.
Can hypnotherapy help with PTSD and trauma recovery?
Yes. Studies link hypnotherapy to fewer flashbacks, intrusive memories, and sleep problems tied to trauma. It works best as part of a wider plan, helping you process painful memories safely and calm the body's stress response.
Can hypnotherapy support fertility?
It can support the emotional side of trying to conceive. Stress, grief, and pressure often come with fertility struggles, and gentle hypnotherapy helps ease that load. This complements your medical treatment rather than replacing it.
Can hypnotherapy improve sports performance?
Yes. So much of performance is mental. We help athletes quiet self-doubt, sharpen focus, and rehearse success in the mind, which carries over into training and competition. It is the inner game behind steady, confident play.
Do you offer sessions online?
We do. Sarina Dibianca Hypnosis serves clients in Philadelphia and worldwide through secure virtual sessions. Online work is just as effective as in person for RTT, so you can heal from wherever you feel most comfortable.
What is trauma-informed care?
It is an approach that recognizes how widely trauma shapes people and builds care around safety, trust, and choice. Instead of asking what is wrong with you, it asks what happened to you, which changes how support feels.
What are the core principles of trauma-informed care?
Safety, trust, collaboration, choice, and empowerment sit at its center, along with cultural sensitivity. The aim is care that helps people feel physically and psychologically secure while avoiding anything that could cause further harm.
What is compassion fatigue, and how is it different from burnout?
Compassion fatigue comes from absorbing the emotional pain of the people you help. Burnout grows more from workload and workplace stress. They overlap, yet compassion fatigue is tied specifically to caring for those who are suffering.
What is caregiver burnout?
It is the physical and emotional exhaustion that builds from caring for someone over a long stretch. Signs include fatigue, guilt, irritability, and neglecting your own needs. Support helps you keep caring without wrecking your own health.
Can mental health support help people living with HIV?
Yes, and it matters more than many people realize. Untreated depression or anxiety can make it harder to stick with treatment and self-care. Counseling and peer support improve both emotional wellbeing and long-term health outcomes.
Why is mental health important when living with HIV?
Emotional wellbeing ties directly to physical health here. Depression is roughly twice as common among people living with HIV, and caring for the mind supports staying consistent with care. Both deserve real attention together.
